I purchased these WARNE Extra high rings for my Remington 700 with rear sight.... My setup Has a Sightron scope with 50mm objective....when installed on a picatinny rail this gives me less then a quarter inch of clearance between the rear sight and the scopes objective.The rings themselves are top notch quality....They are completely made of steel.. The quick detach system is rock solid with no slop in the action...The cross bar in the QD is made of machined stainless.
Finish is matte black and seems very durable....I also like that Warne uses Torx fasteners .The Torx fastener in my opinion, holds up far better then hex sockets.
I believe once you actually have the rings in your hand you will see what I am referring to in regards to quality.
The set also includes a T-15 wrench for the fasteners....Warne also sells a Dedicated 25in pounds T-15 wrench.....Which I would suggest you purchase if you don't not own some type of torque wrench..
