Bill Harmon Plane EZ Golf Swing Trainer

Product Description
EZ Plane Trainer Ben Hogan referred to the swing plane as a "three-dimensional road map" for the golf swing. It's that invisible, imaginary, sloping, circular path that is carved in the air as the best golfers make their swing. Understanding this concept is vital if you want to develop a perfect golf swing and, of course, hit great golf shots. All professional golf instructors endorse the swing plane concept and many use the "invisible sheet of glass" analogy to represent the swing plane. Think of it as a channel in space, several inches thick in which the club travels during the key parts of the swing. The golf swing is "on-plane" as long as either end of the club is pointing at the target-line throughout the swing. The target-line is the line that extends from your target back to your ball and beyond. If we project a beam of light from either end of the golf club, parallel to the shaft, it would trace the target-line throughout the entire swing. If either light beam 1head-end or grip-end1 strays from the target-line it would indicate being off-plane and would suggest corrective action be taken to improve the swing. By seeing your own swing plane in action you could rapidly develop the perfect golf swing. The EZ Plane Swing Trainer makes your swing plane visible to you while you are practicing. The EZ Plane Swing Trainer projects highly focused beams of light from both ends of any golf club. With the high visibility target-line supplied, you will be able to see exactly where your club shaft is pointing throughout the entire swing. The swing trainer works with any golf club ... drivers, woods, irons and putters. Nothing to install - no moving parts. Simply place the EZ Plane Swing Trainer in your hands and pick-up the club of your choice and you are ready to swing ON PLANE!Bill Harmon Plane EZ Golf Swing Trainer Review
The EZ Golf Swing Trainer (not the item pictured) is well-constructed and works as described. There are other lower quality and lower priced products that pretty much do the same thing (keep the arms together, help maintain swing-plane) but the design and build-quality of the EZ appeals to me - I'm sure the maker could have cut corners and cheapened it. But the quality design makes me think they did not want to compromise what they were going for. A little hard to explain, but if you buy one, see it up close and use it, I think you'll understand what I'm saying.I try to use it ten minutes a day with a 7-iron in my garage, just taking practice swings. At first, it felt un-natural, as might be expected. After a bit, the swing falls into place - tempo improves and swing speed increases due to finding the correct plane and staying on it. I doubt a weekend golfer like myself would ever outgrow the need for such practice, so the build-quality I spoke about means I'll have the use of it for a long time.
