We had some oil spill into the ground, and start coming out in a small pond. I used there pads to form a barrier at the source, floating on the water. They did a great job of staying in place, on top of the water, and absorbing just the oil, not the water. I would recommend these pads, I gave them 4 out of 5, only because I feel they are a little over priced.
