Was looking for a fiber sight not unlike my old Copper John, but with the extend light gathering fiber pins. Trouble is, most high quality sight makers cater to the target crowd, of which I was for many years. I've owned nearly all of 'em at one point, from Tox's full line in the late 80's through the must have micro drive craze of shooting open class in the 90's. That said, this sight is a hunters dream come true.

It's solid and simple. It's light and well machined. Outside its well positioned level, the sight is plastic free. It has robust fasteners for adjustments that will not slip. There are no QD levers to get bumped. It has a generous 2 inch inside diameter pin guard, perfect for low light situations. Early morning and late evening will be a non issue for prime time hunting opportunities. The pins are thin and can be adjusted for an ultra tight pin gap. It's rear mounted sight light eliminates the halo effect caused by pin guard mounted illumination. Each pin has a "bladed" design for strength, with an arc for their fiber to channel into the pin head. Breaking a fiber from rough use will be hard to do. Unlike other sights I've repaired, replacing fibers would be a simple process based on this sights design. It's laser etched and has high attention to detail. The fit and finish on this sight is 1st rate. This is a serious hunters sight.

There are many variations of this sight offered by Axion. Long bar, short bar, (like this model), with and without dampeners. Bow hunter fixed pin class shooters and any avid bow hunter will appreciate this model. If I had to name a "con" it would be that the light wasn't click rheostat selective. That's not enought to pull it down to a 4 star rating, since the touch of a Sharpie marker to the lights bulb makes the already super bright pins glow perfectly when darkness threatens to spoil the shot of a lifetime.

Beginner, novice or pro, this sight fits the bill at a price point that I challenge anyone to beat. It's just that good.
