I have had the Mad Rock Conflicts for about two years now, and I upgraded to the 2.0, I am very happy I did so. They are a narrow shoe that is actually designed with a hole in the midsole, meaning it flexes and bends and is soft for total control of your foot and shoe. The three straps and side close means I can pull the straps far tighter then on other shoes, and the rubber on the top helps for toe hooks so well! I have a wide foot, so they can get *a bit* painful, but when you know your foot will never pop, I'd say its worth it. The leather lining also works wonders to keep the stink down, if you have had a pair of synthetic lined shoes, you know what I am talking about here, climb in them for 4 months then go ahead and try to take a wiff of your synthetic shoes. When you wake up from your coma I will see you climbing in a pair of leather lined shoes. My room mate had a pair of the Solutions, and he tried on my Mad Rocks to be amazed by how sticky they were, and how well he could feel the rock.

All in all, a wonderful performance shoe, ohh yeah, did I mention? They are way cheaper then the rest of the "performance" shoes on the market, but they still perform as good if not better then the rest.
