I use these Dainese knee guards especially when I'm riding dual sport. While I trust them, and they tend to stay put and offer good protection to the knees and shins in a fall, the three straps (especially the top-most strap) tend to dig in to the skin. I resorted to buying some "long socks" used for racing to protect abrasion and blistering to the areas behind my knees. WIth these socks, they tend to work well, unless I wear them for many many hours - then the straps can wear through even the protective layer of fabric. Also note, these are not knee braces; just guards - but they work decently well as such.
