The light is fairly bright, nothing spectacular, but bright enough for Chicago commuting. I read many negative reviews about the bracket, however my main issue lies with the extremely cheap and flimsy plastic casing. I have never dropped the light (though I believe a light costing approximately 100 bucks should hold up against a 3-4 foot fall without any issues), but the the casing cracked in my backpack. I always try to be careful with my backpack for I keep my sunglasses, graphing calculator, cell phone, and mp3 player in the bag, and they have not sustained any damage. The battery takes a long time to recharge, and its an all around bad buy.
