To address some issues that the other reviewer didn't:
-The sword isn't sharpened. This should go without saying, but it's not listed in the details, and not in other reviews. so it's worth mentioning.
-The saya (sheath) is cedar. I'm not too terribly experienced with swords, but I think there's definitely a better choice in terms of wood. The box is cedar as well... which means your sword will absolutely reek of that cedar smell.
-The box, while nice, is pretty cheap. It's a cedar box wrapped in cloth, with a styrofoam pad for the sword.
-There's a ton of oil in the saya when you receive the sword. I know this is to prevent rust during storage, but it's still a pain.
-This sword is NOT battle ready. Granted, you probably won't find one which is for this price bracket, but I think you could definitely do a lot better than this.
-Beautiful tsuba (hand guard).

Overall, it makes for a nice showpeice, but even then, you could probably find a nicer one for the same price.
