Condor Outdoor Ambidextrous Sling Bag Backpack #140 (Tan) Review

This is a great bag. I originally bought it to try as a "get home" bag but ended up using it as my daily work bag. A 15" laptop fits snuggly (very) in the hydration pouch in the main compartment. The pouch also works good to secure docs and manuals if you just use the main compartment for the laptop. You might be able to go a little bigger than a 15" laptop in the main compartment but it would be tight (lengthwise) I think. I'm a network eng and carry a lot of sh.. stuff, console cables, various adapters, tools, peripherals, manuals, etc (even an extra laptop) and this bag has room enough for everything and the pockets to keep it all organized. I am a bigger guy (more wide-wise than height-wise, unfortunately) and the straps have plenty of room to allow for a comfortable fit. The shoulder strap is nice and wide and everything cinches down tight for those days I can ride the sport bike to work, comfortable and secure. I was worried about the plastic snaps but have not had any issues so far. The `hidden' pockets are a nice touch for concealed carry, wallets, even a sandwich or two and as long as they are not over stuffed they do not affect the fit.

The only drawback is the there is no padding in the main compartment for protecting the laptop (not really a fault of the bag since it was not designed for that) but if you use the hydration pouch for the laptop it is not a big issue. Otherwise dividers from an old laptop bag worked great.

I have not had the chance to test this as a get home bag, hoping to order another to do that this summer.
