Product Description
In its never-ending battle to make cycling a full-yearsport, Sugoi has pulled out all the stops with its cold-weather HotShot Jersey.Worn by itself or as a base- or mid-layer, the HotShot comfortably adds 3 moremonths to your riding season. The HotShot Jersey is made with Sugoi's proprietary ZeroPluscool-weather fabric. ZeroPlus fabric is made with advanced hollow fibers thatcreate a warm climate and moving moisture quickly away from the skin to keepyou dry and comfortable. The soft, brushed inner layer pulls moisture away fromthe skin to create a warm, dry micro-environment, while the outer layer has atougher, abrasion-resistant face. The HotShot's construction makes it a very versatile cool-weathertop. Flatlock seams throughout reduce chafing. The efficient Form Fit aids inmoisture management and makes it easier to layer over the HotShot. Four-waymechanical stretch provides a full range of motion without snagging. The fullfront zip makes it easy to get it and get out as well as allowing for quicktemperature adjustments. The three back pockets expand easily to create extrastorage space, and the signature hem gripper keeps the jersey from climbing upthe back during a ride. The zip-up collar can be worn up or down according topreference. The Sugoi HotShot Jersey is available in sizes S-XXL and inthree colors: Olympian with Gunmetal trim, Matador with Gunmetal trim, andBlack with Gunmetal trim.Sugoi Sugoi HotShot Jersey Black/Gunmetal, M - Men's Review
I have two older Hotshot jerseys, which served me very well for many years. After wearing one of them out, I decided to give this newer version of the same jersey a try. This replacement version is at least as warm as the old one, is dimensionally very similar to the old version, and is definitely more stylish than the first version. However, there is a downside to the way the garment was designed & assembled. All the stylish panels that are sewn together to make the interesting shape on the back have very bulky seams that point inwards, and rub on your back and shoulder blades while riding. It's not abrasive enough to cause any injury, but I find it annoying. (It does NOT have universally flat seams as claimed in the description.)
In summary, it's overall a very nice jersey but is a little uncomfortable due to the way the seams were designed/assembled.
