This is not the prettiest knife I own. It is not the sharpest knife I own. Also, this is in no way the most expensive knife I own.

This IS the only knife I have ever purchased (after owning one myself) as a holiday gift for multiple relatives and friends that usually carry a pocket knife. I have also replaced more than one for myself and relatives in the construction trade when they have been so routinely abused, battered and subjected to continuous use and misuse that they simply have to be retired for safety's sake.

Don't get me wrong. . . it took me over a decade to defeat this knife with regular use, and if I showed you a video of some of that use you would put the knife in protective custody and file charges against me. This is a quality product that I would reach for time and time again in diverse situations. For the money, this is a very sturdy, sleek knife that finds a perfect balance between function and design. It is also easy to keep sharp and folding smoothly. I love this knife.

Bottom line, this is a good knife to buy if you have a collection because it is not too pretty or too expensive to use in situations that will cause wear and tear. I have bought knives that I don't like to use becuase they are part of my pocket knife collection rather than a tool for regular use. This knife, on the other hand, is a good working blade (that just happens to be well designed and good-looking).
