Do NOT buy this if you are hoping to receive the S2 LED.

I ordered two of these flashlights based on their description which clearly states "Now S2 LED with 340 Lumens!".

When I received these two lights I noticed the factory packaging on them is labelled for the R5 LED which has different output and battery characteristics than the S2 LED. There was a small paper label affixed to the package which said S2 LED...interesting.

I already own two of these lights and both of them say "S2 CREE" on the bezel". The ones I received from Amazon did not.

When I compared these two lights to my existing lights, they ended up being significantly different. I believe the factory packaging is correct and these lights are actually the R5 LED instead of the S2.

The R5 low mode only allows for 150 hours of runtime while the S2 allows for 600 hours of runtime. That is a significant difference.

I am returning both of them because they are simply not as advertised.

In addition to the R5 having significantly different characteristics, the R5 version of this flashlight is about $20 cheaper which is another reason for this bad review.
