I'm glad these worked for some other reviewers, but want to report a real problem here. These shoes had little arch support, so I rectified that with an aftermarket insert. Then I couldn't figure out what was rubbing on the tops of my toes so much that the skin was gone (ouch!). Upon inspection, I found that the tongues on mine had long extensions down into the (top of) the toe area, sewn in where they should not be. It could be that the manufacturer uses one size tongue and carelessly sews in the extra long part in smaller sizes but that's just a guess. The fact is that these shoes have caused me significant pain and injury and even had I tried them on in a brick and mortar store before purchase, I probably wouldn't have worn them long enough to detect this problem.

I recommend that if you think you might like these, go somewhere where you can try them on with the awareness that there may be this issue.
