Dakine Daylight Deluxe Fish Bag (6-Feet x 4-Inch, Timber) Review

This is a "deluxe" surfboard bag for carrying your board to and from the surf.

Most dings/cracks happen during transit and not in the water from bumping your board on the car, stairways, walls, etc. Using a surfboard bag helps keep your boards looking new.

THE GOOD:

1. Wide opening with dual zippers. You can fit a board up to 23 inches wide into this bag like a retro twin fin fish. My 6'4 x 22 3/4 x 2 3/4 fish fits easily into this bag with room to spare.
A 5'11 Lost Couch potato fits easily as does a 5'8 Mini Bonzer Light Vehicle surfboard.

2. Has a nice shoulder strap and handle for easy carrying.

3. One side of the bag is SILVER (not shown on the Amazon.com picture) which is essential. This reflects the sun off the bag for when you leave it in your car or outside. Keeps the board from getting hot. Hot temps can ruin your surfboard and melt your wax.

4. Zippers are coated to prevent rust.

THE BAD:

Nothing really. The bag is not suitable for airline travel. You could put a smaller board and wrap it with bubble wrap but this board bag is meant for day trips.
